Select the Pick tool, position your cursor outside of the larger image area and then click and drag to draw a marquis. Next, hold the right mouse button down (while holding the left mouse button down) and you will be able to move the marquis around the drawing window. Release both buttons when you have surrounded all the objects you wanted to select.
