• Tip of the Week: Create pattern fills from content


    Did you know that with a couple of clicks, you can create pattern fills from the clipart and bitmaps that you find with Corel® CONNECT™?

    Just right-click a bitmap or clipart thumbnail in the Viewing pane, and click Install as bitmap pattern or Install as vector pattern. New pattern fills are added to the My Documents\Corel\Corel Content folder, in the respective sub-folder.

  • Tip of the Week: Boundary command

    The Boundary command is a great feature that becomes active only when multiple objects are selected. This feature has many uses, and is especially handy for creating a vector object around a bitmap. Adding the Boundary command as a button through customization (Tools > Customization > Commands) is easy and keeps this great tool readily available at all times.

    Did you know that CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite X6 lets you add trays to organize your assets and have them readily available?

    To use this handy feature, click the Add new tray button in the Tray pane of Corel CONNECT or the Tray docker in CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT, and then drag content in the new tray.

  • Tip of the Week: How to achieve better results with Corel® PowerTRACE™ ?


    If you want to use PowerTRACE to trace a black-and-white pencil or pen drawing that you scanned in, prepare your image first.
    Select your image, and then click Bitmaps > Image Adjustment Lab to fine-tune the contrast and brightness. Adjusting the image first will produce better trace results.
