Over the years, Corel has been very hard at work developping our flagship graphics product for the pros and the aspiring pros alike, and our latest version, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 is getting very quickly adopted by many of you around the world.
One comment that we have received over the years is that the current price point of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is outside the range a home user or a student could afford for non-commercial use. To answer this, I am really happy to introduce a new product in the X5 family: CorelDRAW Home & Student Suite X5.
Home & Student is built from the ground-up for the users who create graphics for print and the web in non-commercial usage, e.g. for your school project or not-for-profit associations and clubs. The license is therefore strictly limited to non-commercial use. At the same time, we know that some of you have multiple computers in your household, and therefore allow the installation of CorelDRAW Home & Student Suite X5 on up to 3 different computers in the household (not in the office, remember the non-commercial use comment).
From a feature-set perspective, you get almost complete versions of CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT in the box. The biggest difference compared to CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 are that Home & Student Suite X5 does not include VBA / VSTA or Macro support, and some more advanced features a professional user would need are not available (such as PrePress, PreFlight or enhanced color management options). Finally, we have also reduced the amount of content (H&S includes 1300 high-quality cliparts and 140 fonts), and the printed Hard-cover book from Graphics Suite is not included (it is included in electronic format).
This enables us to provide CorelDRAW Home & Student Suite X5 at US$129 / € 99 in many countries around the world. We actually have this product available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Polish and Russia and it can be purchased from our authorized channel partners, including many retail stores in your country.
The (current) latest version of CorelDRAW Home & Student Suite is version 2014... Version numbers are as follwing: X4, X5, X6, 2014.

Yes, the DWG/DXF filters are included. But is you use CAD for non-commercial purpose, you might also want to have a look at CorelCAD that we recently launched... and there is an Academic version available at about the same price as Home & Student.
I would like to know if on the student/home edition you can also save and open a file/drawing in DWG or DXF format, and will it be able to save and open in vector format
