I'm trying to find out what the difference is, if any, between X4 Home & Student Edition and X4 Education Edition. I saw 3 editions for sale on Amazon: Standard Edition, Home and Student Edition, and Education Edition. From another recent post I understand the difference between Standard vs. Student. But is there a difference between Student and Education Editions? If so, what is it? Thanks in advance for answering.

Search before you post. Make it a good habit
Hey Michael:
I did read those posts that you referred me to before I posted. But they discuss the difference between Home and Student Edition vs the Standard Edition. I even referred to those posts in my post. What I asked about in my post was the difference between the Home and Student Edition vs. the Education Edition. In the posts you referred me to, which I read before posting, it said: "Foster --- first time ever I get to call you out!!! ;-) The poster is referring to the just released HOME and student version, a quite different animal to the "Education" version. Here it is on some dealers shelves at $99 Canadian (sale priced.) It is only available in "select markets" according to Gérard's posts in "the other place."
So I am trying to understand exactly what is the difference between the Student Edition and the Education edition. From what Gerard said and from I have been able to gather form the Internet, the Education edition can only be used by 1 person vs. 3 installs on the Home and Student edition. Also, you must prove you are a student for the Education edition. Both editions don't allow the end user to make commercial use of the product. So it seems to me that there is absolutely no advantage to the Education edition compared to the Home and Student edition. In fact, the Home and Student edition is much better than the Education edition. 3 installs and no need to prove anything. Am I missing something? Is there any reason why anyone would by the Education edition, when the Home and Student edition is available in their area?
Thanks
Gerard, I took a look at the terms and conditions link, but I'm no lawyer.

Hi.
You need the full version or an upgrade of it if you own a previous full version.
-John
a full version just as is.
Right now im working off of corel draw x3 yes i know im behind but my boss thinks it works just as fine as any upgrade thats why im planning on purchasing my own version and starting a small company of my own so i can work things the way i want to.
Would any on have any helpful hints on where i could find one for a little cheaper than straight through my suppliers??
their price is going for almost $600 for the full version.

Yes. The full version has a price that you have pay once. Once you do you can always upgrade for about 200 bucks. I see the full version at $499
Can you charge it and divide it up into payments?
Also if your not in a big hurry the Corel website does have a sale from time to time. The safest bet would be to buy it from them.
X5 currently a shade over $400 from Amazon.com.
