I recently download the Mac version but the Zoom and Hand tool do not work the same like it does on windows. When I use the mouse wheel it will just move the page up and down instead of zooming in. And the mouse wheel click does not activate the hand tool to drag. I found out I have to hold down the wheel clicker then try and zoom in. Could someone please help me get this resolved? Its driving me crazy where I will not even use my MAC and go back to my old windows computer. Inkscape and AI work the same on both MAC and Windows. Thanks in advanced.
Not sure about the Mac version but check under Options/Workspace/Toolbox/Zoom & Pan
That's what seems to be already selected. When I push down the mouse wheel it still does not show the hand tool but allows me to zoom in holding the wheel down and sliding forward.
Wireless mouse? Unplug and plug in again? Maybe it's a mouse driver issue. What mouse?
Here is what support told me:
Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support.I am sorry to let you know, this is not possible in mac. It doesn't work so. You have to use the command key and then use the wheel. Should you need anything else in the interim, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Very confusing because the Preferences clearly shows you can select the action. I have been just getting used to it and purchased a Magic TouchPad (which actually works great for zoom, pan, and scrolling) but the Mac application is really very beta from my experience and has little to no support from Corel.
thanks for your help! makes since now... to me such a simple feature that should be added.
