How does one insert an image into a post in this graphics forum.
Surely a JPEG file must be allowed in a graphics forum.

PS: Why is this the only place in the world that double spaces text. It's been going on since the beginning of the forums.

Seriously, when you make a post, click on 'Use rich formatting' (bottom right) then click the 9th icon on the second row of the toolbar. This will open the dialog to let you upload and image (max file size 256K - soon to be raised to 512K). You can upload CDR or CPT files by this method as well, although they won't display as images, just the file name with a link.
If you want to enter new lines of text without a gap between the lines, just hold down the Shift key when you hit Enter.

Rich Text dialogue opening is certainly one of the culprits. I timed it once at 18 seconds although sometimes it is faster.
It was always instant on the old forum (and did not require to click the unnecessary extra rich text link either) -- it always opened straight off in rich text mode.
The other things I think are very intermittent. Uploading is always going to be slower than downloading on ADSL, but a 74Kb file should still only take 2 seconds to upload.
Somehow I think the new forum is either not running on the same servers as the old, or the new software is hopelessly inefficient.
