how to delete a white background in corel draw x7 ?
Draw a shape around it and under the object menu use powerclip
Select the image (I use an image from internet as a sample), choose "edit bitmap" 8on the property bar), that will open PhotoPaint. Select the Magic Wand (with the W key) or the appropriate mask tool according with the job, and select the white background. Go to Mask menu and choose "invert" (Ctrl+Shift+I). Close the file, and select "yes" when the program ask if you want to save. That's all. It's longer to describe than follow the steps.

Hi, Phil, on Photoshop I also follow the same steps than I use on PhotoPaint, and both use the same shortcuts: w for MagicWand, select the white background, Invert selection (Ctrl+Shift+I), and the only difference is that I need to save channel as an Alpha Channel and save as TIF. Of course, on PhotoPaint I can also save as an Alpha Channel, if I want to save on PhotoPaint instead to edit inside CorelDRAW. On your workflow I believe that you need to save as PSD in order to maintain the transparent background (JPG file format doesn't allows transparent background).
