invoke a mouse click with vba

Yeah, I saw this too but I thought it required the user to actually make a click. I'm needing an equivalent to a mouse click. Usually one can just hit enter but that doesn't work for what I'm trying to do. I've tried every key combination but still have to actually click to continue.

Sub macro1()
do stuff 'very simple stuff ie. one to two lines of code
return to active page
'invoke a mouse click without user. Enter, tab, cntrl+tab, cntrl+enter, alt+enter, etc. doesn't work
then continue other stuff 'again very simple stuff
End Sub
