Corel 7 has become so sluggish - literally takes hours to open files. Running on HP Envy 17, with i7-4710 processor at 2.5 GHz and 12 megs of RAM - Windows 10 - using a SSD drive. Any thoughts?

Plus reset Corel Draw.
Hold down the F8 Key as CDR Starts up and agree to resetting to factory defaults. You will lose any customisation you have.

It should not takes hours to open files... I wonder about the contents of the files. If they are 1 GB+ in size then there could be room for optimization inside the CDR, based on numerous hi-res bitmaps in the file. Resampling some downwards will reduce file size, but if you do this depends on the design.
