Our print service accepts now only PDF-X4 data. CD-X8 and earlier versions can only PDF-X1 and PDF-X3. How can we get a PDF-X4 from CD-X8. Or must we say gooodby CorelDraw?
No for color managed press output I use the DC specification and embed all the profiles in the PDF. the DC specification from CD uses acrobat distiller spec 1.7 I believe. It supports live transparency and color management.

I started a trial with your default but the result is not very promising.See all the red crosses.Not every CD user has Acrobat Pro to fix the PDF.I think the developer (in the CD-X8 cycle) should provide it fastest.
Perhaps "callas Software" can do it - as for Quark Xpress.
I use this option all the time for every job. Never need to use Acrobat for change anything (I use it only if I receive a native PDF file). I use Heidelberg Prinect for check each file.
Attached you could see a report odf a random file. it doesn't match exactly with PDF X/4 because I used a higher version of Acrobat for compatibility (Acrobat DC) and I didn't used trapping.(CTP overrides it)If you want, feel free to send me a file test to ariel.garaza@gmail.com
