Export from X8 to AI

Transparency between AI and CD can be interesting. Without seeing the art it's a tough diagnosis.

Hello Toona: Try converting to curves before you export it, and see if that works. If you do it to a copy of the logo you will still have a good working copy for Corel. Make sure X8 is able to make a file for that ver.

From my experience, it is best to recreate transparency, pattern fills and powerclips again in AI (you can always create a .jpg, .bmp or .gif of your powerclipping and fills and then place them in AI.)

I only transfer empty unfilled vectors between AI and Draw. And you can easily copy-paste the vectors from AI to Draw without the need to import-export. And then apply your fills. And the good thing about Illustrator is that you can apply transparency, and powerclips to OUTLINES in AI.

If there is a way to apply transparency and powerclips to Draw outlines, someone please enlighten me.
