I'm using the barcode wizard often. I need it to create EAN-13 codes. In the past I had no problems with the wizard: Barcodes and the corespondending number was created and displayed well.
Today i see instead of the numbers only small rectangles as placeholder of each number. The font OCR-B 10 BT is correctly installed in Windows.
Searching here brought no solution for my version of the problem.
I'm using:
CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2017 (19.1.0.419) German
Windows 10 Pro_64 Bit (1703 Build 15063.540) German
Has someone a hint for me?
Regards Thomas
Hi Brian,
Thank You for your reply.
1. In Word I can select the Font "OCR-B 10 BT" and the number is displayed correct using this font.
2. Settings are (unchanged since a long time):
EAN-13 / 300 dpi / Zoll / 1 Pixel / 100% / 0,5 / 1,266666 / 2,0 : 1/ OCR-B 10 BT 10 pt. (not changable) / display additional text / additional text at bottom / barcode visibel for user
3. the corruptet Characters are shown in CorelDraw 19.1.0.419
4. My current Windows version is 1703 Build 15063.540. In the past the barcode wizard was working well at this PC. I don't know the trigger for the actual disfunction.
For further info: On a second PC with the same Coreldraw- and Windows versions and builds the Barcode wizard works well and the numbers will be displayed correct.
Regards
Thomas
Hi Thomas, Possible thoughts about the problem would be to try using Corel Font Manager to uninstall the font then try to create the barcode again. A substitution for the font should appear in its place. Save the one with the substitution. Go back and reinstall the font again. Try to create your barcode and see if it's resolved. A couple things we are testing for, the OS installation of the font, then OS substitution. If that does not work, make a copy of the font from the machine that is working, copy and then remove the font from the system with the issue and install the copy of the working version. If you don't have any success from those two solutions, with the copy of the font, send it to me at brian.fraser@corel.com and I can try to duplicate the issue.
