Recent emailed iPhone 7+ images from a friend are locking up PhotoPaint X8 and then closing the programme, very slowly! Earlier images from the same source open without any problem. Is this an Apple or Corel problem?
shouldn't be a problem for either. Might upload a sample image in a dropbox link and invite others to test.
Funny thing, my X8 just started doing this last week. here is the work around, open up a new page and then import it. It won't just auto open in Corel draw anymore if you click on the image, it crashes Corel.
Yes, that Import method works. I then tried again to directly open the image from the stored folder, and X8 crashed again even though it was still showing the imported one OK !
The import method of course is not a work around for opening the file directly by just using Open.

It opens OK in Dropbox but when using the OPEN in X8 box next to the image, X8 crashes again.
I know, But I don't know why this started happening, I use Corel all day long on 2 computers (yes i have 2 separate Corel's) And needed to open bmp's Etc. I found this did work. I agree it should work like it is supposed to, but until i can figure out WHY, this works. We are updating to the newest Corel so i didn't waste my time figuring out what caused the problem.
