I have a account with Coreldraw and pay every year for the latest version. Now I see on the internetsite that there is a new function: Block shadow tool.
Why i don't see it in my pop-up menu from shadows?

It is in Coreldraw 2018, see attached. Try launching Draw and hold down the F8 key and click yes to reset the program. Save any custom settings to a different folder first.
Works great here.
That can fix it but if you don't wish to reset your Draw, you can try what worked for me. This guide (https://routerlogin.one/192-168-16-1/) helped too. It was to look in all the folders. It was in one of which I wasn't even expecting.
Maybe you should try that too!

a big disaster is happened, I hit the f8 key and i was sure that i had a copy on my mac of a drawing i am busy with, for 3 moths!
I was thinking there is a copy on my timemachine from apple, but it is not there.
Anyway the pictogram Block Shadow also not available.
Is there a chance to get the file back?

I have my file back from the Timemachine! I was searching in the wrong files, but it is back.
Now looking for the pictogram in the program.
