Stupid Corel support - no one more Corel software to purchase. No email direct support, no help.
KPT Collection and many many other plugins do not work in CS4 64 Bit. The plugins have to be rewritten for 64 Bit and few plugin manufacturers have yet done so. Considering Vista wasn't even officially supported by the KPT set, I am not surprised you are struggling with installation on Win 7.
I have successfully installed and run the KPT tools on Win Vista and Win 7 both 64 bit but only the 32 bit version of CS4 will run them.
To get around the problem.
Launch PS CS4 in XP Compatiblity mode as an administrator.
Invoke the plug in. Enter your serial number.
Close CS4
Reopen in Normal Compatibility mode and it should be fine.
I posted instructions for this on the CNews server two years ago but I see it has been cleaned off.
Good luck.
This system is not working on Windows 7 With Adobe Photoshop CC because it's only working with Windows 7 althrough.... so i have found another possibility.
The most easy method to get working thoses old plug-ins is to run these in the 32-bit version of Photoshop.
If you have a problem with serial demand each time you use a KPT plug-in, it's because the folder of the plug-ins does not have the permission to save the license file in user mode (that's why all of you are launching the program in admin mode.. but it's not necessary).
Just give access to your user a total control by the folder proprieties then you will not have this problem again.
That's working with many of another programs with add-ons or plug-ins that need permissions to write inside it's installdir.
