Stupid Corel support - no one more Corel software to purchase. No email direct support, no help.
KPT Collection and many many other plugins do not work in CS4 64 Bit. The plugins have to be rewritten for 64 Bit and few plugin manufacturers have yet done so. Considering Vista wasn't even officially supported by the KPT set, I am not surprised you are struggling with installation on Win 7.
I have successfully installed and run the KPT tools on Win Vista and Win 7 both 64 bit but only the 32 bit version of CS4 will run them.
To get around the problem.
Launch PS CS4 in XP Compatiblity mode as an administrator.
Invoke the plug in. Enter your serial number.
Close CS4
Reopen in Normal Compatibility mode and it should be fine.
I posted instructions for this on the CNews server two years ago but I see it has been cleaned off.
Good luck.
How to launch PS in XP mode on Win 7? All for it installed complete: Virtual Machine and Windows XP Mode. But, from what I run its?
I installed KPT Collection in PS 32-Bit version folder but UNinstaller for KPT not installed and KPT 7 not listened in Windows Program Manager. Befor I installed KPT 7 to PS 64-bit folder but not worked - and its removed without problems.
How to uninstall KPT if not listened in Program Manager and uninstaller it is not installed?
I am having the identical problem as Martes, but I am trying to use my KPT Collection with Painter 11. Should I try to follow these steps with Painter? Thanks for your help

Hi Martes,
Maybe I´m missunderstanding you, but here goes.Windows 7 is a microsoft program.Corel KPT collection is a Corel program.Corel Painter is a Corel program.CS4 is a Adobe program.
If a plug in from Corel doesnt work under a Windows 7 and CS4 prgram doesnt instantly mean its only a Corel problem. In my view anyway.
I have Windows 7 PRO 64 bit and I use both CorelDRAW X5 and Corel Photo-Paint X5 (both in the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5). and it works fine with Photo-Paint.
I believe Photoshop CS4 64 bit came out, released AFTER the release of Corel KPT collection. Which can be one part of the problem.
Uninstalling program in a Windows 7 is done by opening the conrol panel and select program and right click choosing uninstall. I havent seen any "uninstaller" for any program in the program list via Start in WIn 7.
Why not try to Call Corel via the phone number listed on their website. Here is a link (copy & paste in your browser) with phone numbers to Corel in a wide variety of countries. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/se/en/Content/1152796558159
To be able to use XP mode in Windows 7 you can NOT do it if you have a Win 7 HOME edition. The Home editions simply dont have it. Here is a link to Microsoft website telling you more about XP mode. Remember you have to activate XP mode yourself. It will take up about 500 MB of your hard drive. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Hope this helps,
