When attempting to start the trial version I am immediately taken into the application recovery manager wizard with the message that the application has become unstable. I am new to this software and this forum, I would appreciate help so that I can evaluate this software for our company needs.
My system specs are: Win XP SP3, Pentium D CPU 3.40 GHz, 4GB RAM with 3GB switch enabled, Nvidia Quadro FX 1500 video card, 6.14.11.6947 drivers. I have tried to start the software with the 3GB switch disabled, no difference.
Thank you
David
Maybe you should delete that download and try downloading a fresh copy. Maybe the first download was incomplete?
I'm having the same problem and have posted under "Problems with loading programs" I did contact Corel's tech support today and I need to check the e-mail they have sent me on how to fix it, and if it works, I'll let you know. Uninstalling and installing it again did not work for me and I have a perfect copy that installed just fine on a different computer.I'm so pissed at Corel and the only reason I'm still using it is that it exports DXF files much better then Illustrator.
I uninstalled, downloaded another copy of the installation file and reinstalled from that file and still no start. Please advise if the fix works.
Hey Guys,
I'm having the exact same problems, I downloaded the CorelDraw X4 Trial and when I try to launch Coreldraw it tells me it has become unstable. Ive tried several times to uninstall and reinstall but NOTHING WORKS! I wonder if its because I'm using Windows XP Pro SP3. Please lemme know if you guys have any luck. Id like to try this program but Im not having any luck with it.
Thanks
Jacob
Klaus posted a message about this a few days ago in the DESIGNER forum. This also applies to the CorelDRAW X4 trial:
Klaus Vossen said: There has been an issue with the Download Manager AddIn on corel.com for a few days. All users that have tried to download products during that time have a corrupt version of the download manager installed. The problem has been solved but for those users that have the corrupted version of that AddIn installed it means you need to uninstall this download manager from IE in order to access the trial download successfully again. Please take a look at this entry in the Corel Support Knowledgebase that contains details on how to uninstall the Download Manager in Internet Explorer. After that step you should not experience any problems with downloading Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 trial any more. Best regards,Klaus
