I will try and explain what I am doing.
I purchased an Epson Workforce 1100 which can print 13" x 19" or longer.
I want to print with a size of 11" x 12" and was wondering how to I change the page set up to do this.
I have made some changes to the page set up under custom size and changed everything to the 11" x 12" size but when I am designing in CorelDraw 12 the size on my screen for designing is not 11" x 12" so that when I print part of the image is cut off.
What's being printed is 8.5" x 11"
How to I change the size of the CorelDraw screen that I am designing in?
Thanks for you help and advice. Jim
If I understand your question, indications are that in one part you have not changed your printer paper size to match what you wish. Look under File > Pinter Setup. In the name, select your printer name then click on properties. Change to your desired paper size.
Are you also saying that you cannot change your page size in Corel's workspace using Page Layout or Paper type and Size from the workspace?
Jack Ross thanks for the quick reply:
I changed the paper size on my Corel screen to 11" x 12" and it does show that size on the top of the screen.
I have also set up the Epson printer to a paper size of 11 x17 which is the size of the paper I am using.
Everything appears to be set up right but when I print is is coming out 8.5 x11
One interesting thing is when I look at the print preview window it is cutting off part of the image so there most be one setting I am still missing.
Jim
Did you double check the Print Setup in Corel under File > Page Setup It can be different for each document, if memory serves me correctly.
Only other thing I can think of is your image is outside the "Printable Area" for your particular printer. Turn it on in your work space. I am not sure where it is in version 12. Look under View menu and check your help files. This, however should not end at 8.5" inches fo an 11 x 17 page. When you turn it on you will see hash line of the print page size. If it is 8.5 x 11, your print setup in the Corel options are incorrect.
Jack:
Thanks for your help. It turns out there is another setting on the New Epson 1100 printer that I did not see.
Each time I got to the print preview window the image size would be 8.5 x 11 even though I had already changed it to 11 x17 which is the size of the paper I am printing on.
There was one more place where I had to change the image size for it to work correctly
Images are now coming out just fine and with real great colors and the size is 11" x 12" which is just what the customer needed.
Thanks Jim
Good to hear you found the problem and it is no more.
