I just watched a video telling me to hold down the control key while clicking a fill color to add 10% of the color each time I click it. But when I do it I get the full 100% of the color. I'm using Coreldraw X7.
I'm using a laptop if that makes a difference. I'm wondering if my control key is somehow different.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Yes, If you hold down Ctrl key while you do a click on any color, it "adds" 10%, it works on X7 too.
btw it doesn't add a color, but mix one color to other. In other words, if you have 100% Magenta and Ctrl+click over Cyan, the result is not "100% Magenta + 10% Cyan", since the Magenta decreases while the Cyan increases. If you want to "add" a Cyan, you should do Ctrl+Click over the "Blue" color (100% Cyan + 100% Magenta).
Same happens with other colors, if you want to have a lighter tone, Ctrl+click over the White color, but if you want to have a darker tone, don't use "CMYK Black" (the first color on the CMYK Palette) but use the last color (RIch Black, 100% of each tint)
Thanks so much! This is the answer I needed! Thanks for taking the time to give a detailed response.

Clever!
