When I bring up files created with X5 into X7 my colors are not correct. This is extremely important and makes X7 useless to me if I can't get it corrected. I have tried to duplicate the Color Management settings from X5 but it makes no difference. Help!
Can you attach a capture of the settings of both versions? As far for the image, on X7 you're using Pant 1235 and on X5 is a color named "Gold". Since there's no difference on color management between both versions, if the settings are the same all colors should be the same, even if you're usin Color Proof enabled or not
Do you mean that
1. identical colors look different on screen, comparing X5 and X7?
2. the spot color names are incorrect?
3. the palette from X5 can't be used with X7?
My palette from X5 has been loaded into X7. When I bring a design into X7 I created in X5 with that palette, the design reads as if the color is a PANTONE color, not the custom palette color it should read as. So when I bring up my color separations it reads it as 4 different colors when ther should only be the 2 custom colors. Both color management settings are North America General Purpose. What I ultimately want is for whatever designs I created in X5 to come into X7 without it renaming the color to a pantone color.
Sounds like a spot color issue.I suggest you send any of the Corel employees an email, and explain the problems you have.Try Tony for example.
