Let me start by saying that nothing gave me as many headaches as Corel Draw X4 so far. First previews weren't showing, then I had problems installing on another PC, now I got this problem.
I run the install normally, I enter a legit key and the rest of the installation goes just fine. Then, after the first launch, I get that error message and a few days of trial left.
The message is: No asset found for trial download (license ID: 540228824) with x days left, source type 1, lang it and source ID 810007.
I've ran a few google searches but nothing was helpful, so I figured I'd ask here.
I hope someone can help.
Thank you.
Hello kagemitsu; X5 is the Ver. that has the trial down load now, If you are trying to load X4 uninstall the X5 and you should be able to load it. Make sure you down load all the patches for it, and Windows also. I have found that X4 is the best CorelDraw I have ever used ( I have not tryed X5, not even the Trial. )
My Thoughts George
Thank you for your reply TheSign Guy,
I'm 100% positive I'm using the X4 trial for the install. I've used the same installer on another PC and it works fine with the serial I've got. I'm getting this error message on the laptop I'm trying to install Draw in.
Hello Again kagemistu; Why not go to CorelDraw.com and down load the X5 trial, and try that one the date on the X4 trial may have run out? But what John said may work for you, Just not sure about the OLD trial Ver. John uses X5 and he can do things in it my mother won't even let me try.
George
I don't think the X5 trial will help get the non-trial X4 working. It might even complicate things further, once the X5 trial expires.
I would be more inclined to completely uninstall, delete all CorelDraw folders in both Program Files and Application Data for the user (better still, for every user) and everything that relates to CorelDraw in the registry.
Ideally, Corel should provide a program that does precisely that. Deleting the folders is relatively safe but a mistake when changing the registry could make things worse.
Hello harry; the idea of down loading the X5 trial is to use that instead of the X4 Trial, they both expire in the same length of time.
Yes, but the user's X4 licence key is not going to work with it. Even if he gets the X5 trial working, it will expire in a few weeks and leave exactly the same problem of trying to get X4 to work.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I tried everything, including removing all that is named "corel" from the PC and cleaning up the registry, but nothing.
I fixed the problem by downloading a pirated copy of the X4 suite from the Web. That's right, I had to pirate a software I legally own.
I installed that one and it seems to work fine, even though I can't seem to be able to switch the language to Italian. I'm gonna have to teach my computer impaired brother some basic english in order to operate with the software.
However, I still hope to find a solution for the original problem.
Thanks for the help.
I found a solution here.

It's very simple. You should disable network connection before opening CorelDraw and then it will show activation as usual. Now you could input your key and active CorelDraw.
It works for me, hope this information helps. :)
