Anyone know of a method, tool, plugin, or procedure for exporting a CDR directly to XAML? I found a few quirky ones for AI, but nothing for Corel. Would rather not have to save as AI, and then convert.

I'm not aware of any way.
There are a few svg to xaml converters, here's one I found: http://www.codeplex.com/XamlTune/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=21436. I haven't tried it though.
There's also Paste2Xaml (not free). It converts the WMF or EMF on the clipboard into a XAML file.
If XAML output is feature you're looking for, I suggest adding it in the feature request forums.

For those hitting this thread from google, Microsoft Expression Blend 3.0 (released after the above comments) can import AI files directly - as well as PSDs with layers.
