Frequently when I'm doing something on my computer--and I haven't figured out any common theme as to when it happens--I get this popup saying that my computer is installing or configuring "PureHD" and it has some path that starts in the Corel folder. I have Corel Painter X and Corel PaintShop Photo Pro and something called "MLE" installed in the Corel folder under "Program Files" on my computer.
At first I would always cancel out of the seemingly neverending onslaught of "PureHD" installation windows, but then I decided to try to let it install, but it says that resources aren't there and wants me to locate files manually, and of course I have no idea what it's looking for.
I'm pretty sure that PureHD isn't anything I want or need, so how can I make it go away already? Thanks in advance.
HELLO WebKat' I don't know what the PureHD is but you can tell your anti virus to block it incoming and out going. I think I would do a search in Window and find out more about you have going on with it. Or at least use your fire wall.........
My Thoughts George
I don't have an anti-virus. I've never needed one...

AAAAAAaaaaaweeelllll I haven't needed one in about 10 or 15 years my self but it you do and don't have one it's TO LATE.
Maybe the bottom post at http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/1/helproom/378458/what-is-purehd/ could be useful?

Lucky girl, you mean. ;)
I just don't open attachments or visit links from emails and so on... never gotten a virus yet and I've been using computers since my C64 in the 80s.
So according to that link, I need to reinstally PaintShop Pro X3 and uninstall it and it will take PureHD away with it?

If you think you may have installed and partially uninstalled PSP X3 at some time in the past then that may be the answer.
But elsewhere it suggests that PureHD is part of nvidia hardware acceleration so perhaps you should let it install if you have nvidia graphics or do graphics-intensive work. Or perhaps you should reinstall or update your video drivers and see if that fixes it.
So, its two possibilities to try, but I've no way of telling whether they might help.
