I have been using Corel Graphics Suite since Corel 4, so I am obviously a supporter and appreciate the software! At the same time, I finally ceased to be able to afford the upgrades, so am stuck at Corel 12. I recently lost my harddrive, so had to reinstall the program. Now, every time I try to start it, (Draw, PhotoPaint, etc.)it goes through a long installation/configuration process before it finally comes up. It's driving me nuts!
Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated!

Hello RevMoose; More info will help us. Did you just change out the hard drive or the system as well, what OP system are you using. The specs on the system will help to.
George
Same harddrive. Just reformatted it. As for the operating system, XP
Thanks for your help.
How are you starting the program?
If its from a desktop icon, check that it is pointing to the exe file somewhere beneath c:\program files and not to a copy of the install program.
RevMoose When you have drive problems and want to reformet it it is best to "Low Level" format it first.
Are you having any problems with other software starting slow? If not check the Registry, if that doesn't help "put the Corel CD in and do a repair.
My Thoughts George
Be certain you've got all the XP updates done and any CorelDRAW 12 u/d's as well.
Clean out your Temp and Windows\Temp files and Deleted items folders.
Uninstall any Programs you no longer use or need.
