Cannot Scan with either Corel draw x6 / Corel PhotoPaint. The icon is not highlighted
Perhaps you're using a TWAIN 32-bits scanner driver , under CorelDRAW 64 bits on Windows 64 bits? if yes, you must install the 64 bits version of your driver
THANK YOU, I just checked it now you are right.
One more question PLEASE. HOW CAN I MAINTAIN PICTURE SIZE, WHEN USING COREL PAINTSHOP X4 TO SCAN. COS I NOTICED THAT AFTER SCANNING AND SAVING WITH .JPG EXTENSION - WHEN IMPORTED IN COREL DRAW ITS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN A4 PAPER SIZE

If installed 64 bit version of CorelDRAW/Photo-Paint then thats one reason because many, most of them, scanner manufacturers havent created proper 64 bit scanners. Its a know issue and it will come asolution for this by Corel later the 2nd part of this year. But there IS a solution for this during the transition period. A macro/User Control.
Read about the solution here http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/p/32038/150733.aspx#150733
I have the same issue, X6 Draw and PhotoPaint
I have installed the latest drivers from Epson website, no joy.
I have also contacted Corel support, will see what they suggest.
I also run Photoshop 64-bit, and the scanner works fine with that.

the reason is the file compression, since JPG is imported as 72 dpi with a bigger size than the original. Save as TIF instead, and you di't have problems
