Any clues on how to recover a corrupt CDR. The Backup file is corrupt as well. Message: "Error Reading"I tried importing it, converting to PDF and using other machines to try and open it.

That's the most painful thing in the world, something u work on for days and it gets corrupted. I have had to redraw my jobs till now, don't think there's anything one can do about it.
CD X3 has a Converter Macro, and you can try to convert it to CMX. Probably, you may recovery it complete or partial. Probably, it will not work with your corrupted file.

Good idea! But it didn't work. :(
Michael, When you try to open the file, do you get a preview image of the file? If you have a preview image, then you are in luck, because you can trick the file into opening as a zip file and extract the crd file out of it. Here's the process. Find the cdr file and rename it with a .zip extension. CDR files are zip files with several files included. Find the file called riffdata.cdr. Extract it out and rename it to your old file name. Then open it in Draw.
