Hello cm8647; Unless you are printing your own brochures I think it's best to get a template from the people that are printing it, that way you'll know what they are looking for.
Just My Thoughts George
This is a guideline template for CorelDraw not some random graphics pasted into a .PDF. I have looked for templates for CorelDraw and I cant ever find any, so Im making some of my own. The templates I have found have been images that you need to pull your guidelines to then delete image then check to see if the guidelines are in the right place. Any how, How could a printer tell me how I want something laid out?
Hello cm8647 If you are out sourcing the printing they have there on guidelines for there printing, folding and cutting. Two good places for hole sale printing are GotPrint and Navitor and you can down load there templates, and I'm sure there are many more. The bled, cut and fold they use are different from each other.
George
Lots of templates none in .cdt and they are images of templates not really a template, there are more like a guide to make a template I would say. Im making native templates for CorelDraw using guidelines.
I just play around with CorelDraw and do small projects that I print myself for me to make a few bucks never had printing done by outside company. But I dont under stand why a printer is going to tell me where I can fold my paper lol I think I would find a printer that is willing to do as he is asked unless there is a reason other than thats the settings my equipment is on.
Well, imagine that you have to make your brochure for someone that will need huge amount of them printed and he will print them in offset. So, since we are talking about big numbers, it is needless to say that they will be folded by machine. That is why there are standards. That is the reason why will printer tell you where to fold - to stay inside standards. It reduces time of production and overall costs.
