I got calls from 3 of the DRAW users that some of the fonts are not displaying correctly since they have updated their Windows today. I have not yet connected my laptop to internet. Shall check it and try to identify the culprit update. Any light on this is appreciated.
Few fonts known for not displaying correctly since today
Diavlo_MEDIUM_II_37.otf and its family with light, black etc.Myriaid PRO
I can confirm this font issue also on both 32 bit and 64 bit CorelDRAW X6 versions. I have a screenshot of all Windows Updates that were supposed to be completed on my machines. KB2753842 is in the list...haven't tried to install the rest of the updates but now I will and omit the others.
Glad others are reporting on this issue. Running System Restore will get your machine back to normal as long as you have it running and enough restore points to choose from.
My culprit font was the Birch Standard Open Type font...literally disappeared from my files, that means not visible in outline mode - kapoof! Gone...Also, when typing out a new sentence in that font it would display briefly until I clicked off of it and then it would disappear also.
I have now completed all the rest of the updates in this list and verified both 32bit and 64bit CorelDRAW versions and indeed it is KB2753842 since that was the only update I did not install on either machine.
This aint my first rodeo Dan - trust me, I know. I've been with Corel since version 4 (that's not an X4 either), but they fix their stuff a LOT faster and a LOT better release after release. Except for the Flash plugin...don't get me started with that one.

Aint my first rodeo either partner. Been using CorelDraw since 1989. Also been using Illustrator for nearly as long - but only when I'm forced to. Sure, there's been a few bugs from time to time but have yet to run across a showstopper that brings production to a grinding halt.
Have yet to run into an Illustrator user that can keep up to me when it comes to accomplishing similar tasks. Humbled many of them over the years.
Adobe has neglected Illustrator in favour of PhotoShop in much the same way that some claim Corel has neglected PhotoPaint in favour of CorelDraw.
Much of Adobe's improvements - and I use that term loosely - are nothing more than a ripoff of CoreDraw features.
Please though - don't let what I say influence your choice of software. Use whatever you feel comfortable with. That's what freedom of choice is all about. Just imagine there were no choice and we were all forced to use Illustrator - now there's a scary thought.

Thank you guys! after 4 hours of searching I found this post and was saved! Okay, not a problem of Corel. And yes, all programs have annoying bugs! I agree with Terremoto, I too use Corel Draw since version 2 (!). I started to use illustrator when they got the windows version. Illustrator is great but I can not use it in a bunch of tough jobs that require envelope, pages and other tricks of Corel!
For real ?
Every updates is for a reason... And the solution is remove security update ??
I really think that the removal i a BAD idea. When to expect a update from either WIN or CD ?
Anyways - I have to use the font
John:
Corel is not investigating at this point...we logged a call with MS to find out what happened and we are awaiting news.
