Hi. I've tried dozens of times and in many ways to install CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 but I just can't make it. The problem is when the License Agreement Screen appears, it's shown empty.
Screenshot:
I wonder why this is happening. Any ideas?
FWIW, I haven't herad of this until now...I've forwarded this to QA to see if they have any ideas.

I, too, am having a problem installing X4. This is from an X4 upgrade DVD disk from Corel. Besides taking an eternity to load, CorelDraw hangs upon opening the application. PhotoPaint opens properly. I have done a complete uninstall and reinstall. All the beta versions worked like a charm. No problems with downloading, installing or opening the whole suite... ?
In Firefox, try following:
In the Tools menu, select "Clean Private Data". In that dialog box, make sure you have selected Cache and Download History. Click "Clear Private Data now". Close Firefox (and to remove any possible chance), restart your computer. Then, try downloading the trial again from Corel.com.

Ok this is what I have done so far.. I deleted all the temp folder stuff except the files that windows was still using, I downloaded it with IE 7 and with Firefox.. I also have corel draw 12 installed, and I'm running XP. I just deleted all the temp files on IE and I'm going to restart and see if that works.. but it seems to me that the installer isn't downloading propperly or something.. I'll edit this message after I try it again.
Edit: These are all the things I have tried

Error 1335 is usually an indication of a download issue. If you Google "Error 1335" you will see plenty of examples of this error all classified as download issues. You definitely need to scan the disk before you try anything again.
Data1.cab is used as the file name for many program installs. Hence why you need to be sure you have delete previous temp files.
I can be caused when the windows installer is corrupt..

Sux but I think you have to delete everything and start again with a fresh download. When you Google those errors it all leads to a failed download. You could try http://deluxe.reget.com/ which might help ensure you are getting a correct download.
Thanks Yani.. the microsoft installer was the problem.. That sure is one picky installer hahaha.. I've never had a problem like this before.. new to me haha thanks..*plays with new corel*
WOW it's nice to be able to offer a solution for this that works. Best that gets noted in the KB for the future.
In reply to:
"'It doesn't work' isn't going to help you get help."
i've already explained clearly what happens to me (read 1st post). simply during the installation when the license agreement screen appears, it's shown empty.
I've tried everything. removed temps, downloaded several versions and from several sources, the active x thing, disabled firewalls & antivirus, the msi installer is ok, i don't know.
i don't have any serial serial number. i'm installing the trial version.
" I Can solve your problem, please tell me your serial number of corel x4,thanks " - Yea like we are all really stupid in here!
Is it a genuine copy of Vista?
It looks like you are missing something.
Why not load the service pack for Vista that was released this week and see if that makes a difference.
IIRC, MS pulled the Vista upgrade patch because some PC's went into an unending rebooting sequence.......Not a patch that you want to affect your work system in a bad way...
I had a very similar problem , first with Corel X3 it would show 'program installation unsuccessful', I tried everything I could i.e. PSI Service Enabling, Cleaning Temp files/crap off the PC, only thing I couldnt do was reinstall windows since I have other important stuff installed. Same install worked on my laptop but for some reason didnt work on the main PC.
Then I downloaded X4 trial just to make sure it worked ( Before I buy it ) , and I got a blank agreement, same as many other people on this forum. Again I tried everything I could but it didnt work.
Finally after spending a looong time ( 2 days ) trying to troubleshoot it, I think that one of the following definitely solved the problem.
Completly resetting Internet explorer settings & using CCleaner to clean the system of any unwanted files.Go to start menu --> Run and type in "regsvr32 jscript.dll"Go to start menu --> Run and type in "regsvr32 vbscript.dll"
Doing this solved my problem immediately, there might be other files which arent registered properly with the system and the reason agreement doesnt show up. It might not work for everyone but might help the corel guys find a solution for this problem.
Cheers
