Hello everyone,I've got two problems, a pain-in-the-ass for the moment.I need to do some presentation work using transparent sheets as layers.1.There's a color problem when printing on the transparent sheet. I must print colored shapes on transparent paper which, after printing, will be put on the top of a background and must hide other shapes behind. In CorelDraw I've made them uniform colors and they hide the background layers. But when printed on the transparent sheet, these colors become transparent and you see the background. Could someone throw light about how could I make the top colors print non-transparent?2.Also, I have a "white color" issue. I want to print white characters or shapes and want them printed on a transparent sheet so that they appear white when put over a dark background. In CorelDraw it works just fine, but when printed on a transparent sheet, the white objects are just NOT printed, so they don't appear. How can I make white appear white when printing on a transparent sheet?
Thanks for any feedback,
BD
BD,
Most printers do not print white. The ones that do are very expensive.
All inks are semi-transparent, so you can't lay a transparency on top of a background. The background has to be part of the same file as the transparency.
When designing transparencies for overhead projectors, don't consider the transparency the final image. Overhead projectors, project an image on to a white panel or wall. That effectively replaces the white background you see when working in CorelDraw.
If you have objects under a white object on the page and they are still printing, showing the object underneath, you may have overprint turned on for the bottom object. Right click the object that's showing through and make sure Overprint Outline and Fill are off.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for replying,
I understand now that no inkjet and no laser printer is able to print opaque colors. So, I was told about another method called something like "serie"-graphic or so.This is to be done with a printing office.
Bit I have another issue, about vectoring some objects like text. When needed toexport in another format, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, they ask me to "vector" all objects. How can this be done in CorelDraw x4 ?
Thnx for your feedback.BD
