My cursor stalls for about 5-6 seconds after each move? what could be the problem?
Hello reesie; When you have a stall in the program it is usually caused by the video refresh, and can be caused by many things, tell us about the computer, Windows and what you are doing when it hangs.
George
I have an image as a background and i have made a quick trace of it. I then view it as a wireframe with the back image faded but the new drawing clear. I zoom in and then fix the lines to make them smooth. the more i zoom in the longer the delay inbetween my clicks.
Hello reetsie; I don't know what kind of video you have,. but if you could allocate more memory to the video that may help.
I am not sure what you are refering to as video? I am drawing a picture.
The video is what you are looking at right now. Every time something is done in the computer the video has to be refreshed or you would be seeing what was done earlier in the drawing. That's why I asked for your setup.
How do I allocate more memory to the video I am busy with?
Hello reetsie; You sitll Haven't said what kind of video you are using, But if it's in the CPU it's done in Windows, if you have a video card it may have to have the ram updated, but most of the time you can wait and let the video refresh and keep working, or you could get a better video card.
Hi George
How/where do I see what video card i am using and if it is ok?
Hello reetsie; If you have a Off The Shelf computer you should have got paper work telling you all that info, You can see what type of setup i'm using in all of my post, and that can be done in your home page so you don't have to type it in every time someone asks for the info to help you. Other things can make a computer do that the mouse driver for one. If you are using a off the wall mouse like I am make sure Windows uses a MS driver for it that works. Some times the CPU has a built in Video driver, some mobo's have drivers built into them. We need that info.
