What does 'Photoshop Action' mean. I see it on websites next to designer resources images. Is there an equivalent in Corel x5 which we call something else. I Would quite like to buy some of these designs but I am put off as I don't know if I can use them
"Action" is Photoshop's word for macro.
They run inside Photoshop, so you would have to have the program itself to use them.
Ahh thank you .... I see now. I can draw a ribbon/bow but when it comes to colouring it to make it look realistic I don't know where to start. This was one of the photoshop actions I was looking at and also one to make lace borders around any shape. There is so much out there for photoshop users

As far as coloring in Corel, try mesh fill or blends. Both are marvelous and give more control than any macro.
As for lace borders, you have several options in Corel like blends or artistic media. There may be some macros out there, but it's hard to believe they're a lot simpler to use than the tools themselves. So if you don't see something you want on the site Bob suggested, go ahead and try those. This one was done with artistic media.
Thanks guys...... Silvershoes how did you make the lace border please .... that is excactly the type of thing I want to make :)
Ummm I kind of made a basic one using the blend and circles but not as realistic as yours though
Hey, it's a good start!
I've attached the one I think I used. Have fun with it.
Thank you so much and I can see how you made a little doodle ........ no stopping me now Just need to master the ribbons
