Corel won't install....

Something happened to cause Corel to misbehave.  The menu bar disappeared, so I tried to run a repair.  That didn't work so I had a tech try to fix it   After five hours, he couldn't get it to install.

Below are his notes.  Any ideas about what's happening?  Luckily, I have a new computer being delivered in a couple days.  However, I would like to know what's going on:)

Debriefing
Verified corel errors, ran jv16 to uninstall all old traces of the corel program, removed all traces with
FMOD and cleaned all left over regkeys with ccleaner.
- Reinstalled version x4 but x6 upgrade will error and not install fully. I looked into it and the forums
say to contact corel. Answered questions client had.
