Hello, I'm sorry if this is a basic question, or has already been answered elsewhere. I'm trying to draw one line at an exact 45-degree angle from a previous straight line. The control-click only puts a line at global angles, not at angles relative to the previous segment. (I'm using X3).
The other feature I'd like to see is the degree displayed of a new segment relative to the last segment as I add segments to a line. Not sure if that's an option somewhere to display. If it is, please help me turn it on.
I haven't used X3 in a while but it should do this already. (FYI i'm in x6)
The angle increments are customizable in Tools>Options>Workspace>Edit....Constrain Angle.
Yeah, the problem is the CTR+click only restricts the new line to 45-degree angles relative to the global image, not to the previous line segment. I tried and tried again doing every combination of CTR and click and drag and drop I could think of, and still all the automatic angles are globally-relative.
I also can't find how to constrain the angles through the tools -> options menu. X3 must be a bit different. But if all the set angles are globally relative, then it doesn't help anyway.
Thanks for helping though! I do appreciate your time.
