I have one design that I have designed and when i am editing anything about it Corel is super, super slow! it is only this one file that is slow i have checked several others and they work fine. I have cleaned all the temp files out with no luck. Any help is very appreciated!!
Billy,
Hard to say without seeing the offending file. Sounds like from what you say it's in that file and not the program
On the past, CorelDraw had this problem with files that saved "Views" automatically. If the menu is similar to X6, go to Window > Dockers > View Manager, and check if there are "views" on the list and clear them all! If there are no "views", the next thing I would do is to export the file to a .CMX (Presentation Exchange) format, close all, restart Corel and import the .cmx file. If the problem persists, well, maybe its time to hit the F5 key while clicking to open Corel on its default.
Good luck!

F8
Everything is cleared out on the view manager and I did the F8 reset and its still super slow................
Try copying objects from the super slow file to a fresh new document, bit by bit, and maybe you can find out what object is causing this.
Any more ideas?? I really need to get this fixed. I buy the monthly subscription to Corel X7. I called Corel and they told me the didnt offer free support that I Have to purchase it....... Stinks
Hello Billy; Try Cleaning out the Temp files, and look at the fonts you are using. It depends on the Windows you are using, but a good rule of thumb is if it's over 400 fonts in the Windows/Font dir. move fonts that other programs Don't have to have there to work to a different dir. and use Font Nav. to load what you want for Corel. This is not a fix for your problem with the file, but it should speed up the computer in general.

You didn't write anything about if you had tried my suggestion; copy the objects to a fresh new file to hopefully see what is causing it.
What is in the file? Bitmaps? Text? Effects, like shadows for example? Multiple pages? Color styles? What file size?Is it possible to upload the file somewhere so we can have a look at it?
