Hi!
I'm adding to your post since I'm having the same problems with cdraw.
It crashes often and then the file is sometimes unavailable.
I have to create a new file or open a working file before I can get back to my working file.
I've started to make more backups as I go along.
To try to solve the problem:
I've done the repair and the rebooting ...the problem was not fixed.
Here's an example of a situation that will crash
Do not select anything on a page
Then in the menu select save optimized for the web.
Here is one of the first things to do, if Corel Draw or PhotoPaint becomes unstable. Press and hold down the F8 key and start PhotoPaint (or DRAW, if that is crashing) and answer "Yes" to resetting the workspace to factory defaults.
If that does not help solve your problem, then you may want to put the DVD disk in the drive and do a "Repair" install.
This is the preferred steps to get Corel Graphics Suite back to stability.
Do you have the latest service pack installed?
You can try a Workspace reset. Hold F8 while the program starts.
You can also try a clean install of the software.
Looks like you are quicker than me Hugh!
That is because I have my second (350 ml) mug of coffee, before me and drinking while I type
