Go get it boys
Well, I've installed SP1 and used it for half an hour and have discovered the problems that I've been experiencing haven't been fixed.
1. Switching to Wirespace using SHIFT+F9 doesn't work first time.
2. Lettering in parts of my drawing print out as pixels.
3. Rectangles aren't uniform in line weight and they differ in line weight in different parts of my drawing.
4. Drop Shadows are pixely and not as smooth as they were in X3.
The test was done using an existing drawing originally created in X3.
It looks like I'll continue using X3 for the time being which is a real pity because X5 has some features I wouldn't mind using.
PS: I know I should contact support with these problems but I can't work out from the Support Page where to go put this complaint.
My problems haven´t been fixed too. , Why i call the support, it look like they ignore my problems.

I think the X5 is my last Corel Draw ( many money for nothing) i go back to X4.
Perhaps i will look at Adobe next time.

Works fine here first up. Looks like after you start new document, your focus is not in the UI. Probably that could be the reason you are not able to use Shift-F9 the first time. I think I mis-read your question. Sorry.
Do you mean, by default it should toggle between Wireframe & Enhanced? You're right. By default it toggles between your default view set and Normal view. It would definitely be logical to toggle between Enhanced/Normal View and Wireframe view first up.

This looks like an issue with Color Management. Try to print the same stuff with Color Management set as "Simulate CDSG X4" and see if youi can replicate the issue. If no, then there is something wrong with your Color Management settings.

Starting with X5, there has been some change in how Draw screen displays graphics. Like for e.g. in X4 and earlier if you pressed Shift-F4 to get full page view, your zoom percentage would be 100%. Now, in X5, if you press Shift-F4, zoom percentage will be around 35% for A4/Letter size paper, 25% for A3 size paper etc. Zoom value set to 100% now displays your actual size (provided you have calibrated DRAW ruler with your monitor). See if you get same irregular rectangle weights at 100%.
Same is in Photoshop, remember? PS displays perfect image only at zoom levels of 100%, 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25% etc. At other values, you'll see a bit crooked display.

Hmm... I am not a fan of Drop Shadows in DRAW as well. Somehow, Drop Shadow doesn't work as good as it works in Photo-Paint. I avoid using Drop Shadows in DRAW as far as possible. Send that X3 file to Corel if possible so that they can look into it and fix it.
The drop shadows being pixelated is because your document is set at a low dpi (ie. 72) when you use a higher dpi such as 300 in your document settings, then render a drop shadow, it has a higher resolution as well.

Hi, ralf, I understand your frustration, but you must think that It is not easy to analyze each individual problem, without being present, and without knowing the details of each case. When it's a program error, it is simpler because we all have the same problem, but when only happens to some people, we must find out for what reason can be. For example, I use a Xerox Doucolor, and when sent to print is instantaneous (the time of printing, of course, depends on the file size)

if you change to Adobe you will have no such problems anymore, you have other problems Sorry, nothing is perfect
