I am having some problem with this example, please have a look:

I want the snake to be brown, but the snake is a part of flower too. Now I have searched and found that I could cut it with knife and got a new object, but that is a very painfull job, now there must be some easier way to color only snake?
There are many ways to do this, probably the easiest is to make a closed region and use the smart fill tool.
