You will need to install photopaint if it is not already installed.
Then in windows explorer, right click on any .cpt file (export one from CorelDraw if you do not already have one) and select open with.
Do not click any of the offered options, but instead select choose default program.
Select photopaint and make sure the option Always use... is on before pressing OK.
Hello Nelson; I think if you have Edit Bitmap with PP selected in CorelDRAW setup, you may need the F8 reset. Hold down the F8 key while starting CorelDRAW, just keep in mind that it does reset the program and you'll lose any custom setups you may have.

That's weird, unless you have the file association for .cpt set to coreldraw instead of photopaint. What happens if you double click on a .cpt file in windows explorer?
