I have CorelDraw Graphics Suite X6. I have created what I want in the end to be a double sided business card. However, when printing I am unable to get what will be the back design to align with the front design. Does Coreldraw have a option of sort to make this happen automatically? Or is there a technique to make this happen? Thanks!
If the fronts and the backs of your cards are both positioned in the horizontal centre of the page, and your imposition page size matches that of the printer, then the cards should align -- at least, as close as the printer's alignment tolerance allows.There is nothing more that CorelDraw should need to do.
Often though, office printers don't have good sheet-to-sheet alignment accuracy, which means that even once you get the alignment right, the print will drift from copy to copy.
Hello xshine25; For business cards I would look at out sourcing the print work. The people that do business card are setup to do that job, plus give a better card stock, and a coating for UV. They will have a templates to use to get things straight on the card. You do have to watch BLUE colors, some co. use Adobe to send the drawings to there RIP and you could get anything. We out source 5 to 10 thousand cards a week, and what we do is draw the layout for the cards, convert a copy to curves and send it as a PDF file. Most of the printers will give you a discount if you send a copy of your business license and tax number. We have been using Navtor for over 5 years, and never gotten a ban print jot from them. ( Navitor.com ) There are some cheaper out there but if you have to get it printed again because of the colors it's not cheaper.

Have printed out single sided business cards in the past from a place similar to Office Depot. Their laser printing is great. Just thought I'd give the double sided ones a try. But during a test print, we encountered this tiny little detail which in truth has turned into somewhat of a headache. lol will give it a try once again and let you know how it all turns out. Thanks!
As far as having a printing place dedicated to doing this, thought about it as a very last option. Just thought that CorelDraw being the great programs that it is would have some sort of safety option or function which automatically aligned both sides, which would completely discard an aligning error on my part etc. Of course this taking into consideration any possible drift from the actual printer. Have actually made double sided business cards with Window's Publisher and got a perfect alignment, but thought I'd give CorelDraw a try. Guess I really expected a little bit more as to projects like this. Thanks guys, if I run across anything to help with the issue will let you know. Appreciate the input!
