I downloaded and paid for the upgrade version of CorelDraw X6 because I have X3,X4 and X5. I have installed it already but I went to reinstall on my desktop PC as I wiped my hard drive back to factory state, CorelDRAW no longer gives the upgrade option.
On start up it gives the following message ( see below ) as a 30 day trial.
Any Ideas ?
Do you really mean versions 3, 4 and 5 -- or should that be X3, X4 and X5 ? You might not be aware, but 3, 4 and 5 are probably 15 to 20 years old.
As Foster says, 3, 4 and 5 (and even X3) only qualify for upgrade until June and need special authorisation from Corel. But if you have X4 or X5, and X6 you should be able to self-install the X6 upgrade without special authorisation.
I see you've amended the original post and added the illustration which I think better explains your problem.
The activation screen is normal for the first time used and does not necessarily indicate that there is anything wrong. Nor does it say that you have a trial. What it says is that you can defer activation for up to 30 days. And I think you probably had that screen when you originally installed (but perhaps just clicked activate that time without thinking about it).
Normally, you just press the activate button, which presumably checks with Corel that your serial number is valid and notes that the serial number is now in use.
Your previous installation may have already identified the serial number as in use. Licences differ internationally, so if the licence for Australia says you can only install on one PC you may now need to convince Corel that you are the owner of the licence. But presumably, you would get a suitable message when you press the Activate button?
