Here's the issue I get with my laser printer dialog box:
One or more fountain fills may show banding
These are the suggestions to correct the problem. (BTW the help menu sent me online to find a solution because the help that comes with X6 apparently doesn't have the answer.)
Suggestions: The following actions can eliminate banding:
The three items I was hoping to get help with were #1, #3 and #6.
#2 I know how to do, #4 and #5, I don't think will help me but I could be wrong.

You say your print dialog says there could be banding, but does the print actually look bad too?
Yes, like Ronny says you may not get banding even if a warning is popped. You may try setting the options for "Auto Increase fountain steps" and "Optimize Fountain fills" while printing under Postscript tab in the print dialog box. You will have to use a Postscript printer to get these options.
