Draw X5 included in TDX5 package installed - SP2 version 661running on Windows XP SP3.

When trying to install SP3, get error 5001: 0x80070002. No other applications running.

Hi.

Make sure Windows is up to date. Run Windows update and get all of the lastest updates.

Advanced user only: Disable all unneeded start up items and antivirus programs form running at start up.

Restart computer, disable antivirus and try again.

SP3 for CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 will not apply to Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X5. I am not sure why you are getting a '5001' error. The message you should see is:

"The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrad" patch."

Can you please try installing the Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X5 patch and let us know if you are seeing the same error?

Hello Sharon.

My TDX5 is version 661. Does this imply that TDX5SP1 is executed already? The patch does not work. It hangs the system totally.

DrawX5 is version 661 too.

Hello JoostJ,

Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X5 (CDTSX5) GM (initial release) and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 (CDGSX5) SP2 are both version 661. CDTSX5 SP1 and CDGSX5 SP3 are both version 686. Each suite has it's own patch.

I will send you a direct email, as I will need to get some details from you about your installation, in order to help resolve the issue.
