Having trouble installing X5 Suite; had previously installed and due to re-ordering drives (yea, I know... really stupid), I cannot uninstall nor re-install/repair X5. I installed X7 trial hoping it would overwrite the registry and allow me to reinstall X5 once I uninstalled X7; no luck.
I get "Setup encountered a problem...... Could not access file: K"\Setup\CGS15\Setup.msi -- This action is only valid for products that are currently installed. Would you like to continue? Y/N"
Y= "Setup Incomplete. Your system has not been modified. To complete setup at another time, please run setup again. The handle is invalid. Click FINISH....."
CD is not listed in Programs to uninstall it.
HELP! I love CD and think I'm in withdrawal!
Do you have the original X5 install software (DVD or download) ? I think it should be possible to uninstall with that.
Or, if the previous contents of the K drive are now available under a different drive letter, browse to the setup folder and try executing the installer (in uninstall mode) from there.
thanks; original DVD. no option to uninstall from it.
nothing on the ex-K drive. all corel files are gone.
