Hi there,
I bought corel graphics suite X7. before we all worked with corel x3. so we have hundreds of cdr13 files. should not be a problem we thought to open them and work with them again.... BUT.... unfortunately we found out that there are some serious problems. for example is the perspective from some objects completely damaged and also the extrusions aren't correct any more. so we contacted ther corel support (really no help) they told us that they will forward that problem to the programmer.... we never got an answer or a solution for our serious problem. the only info was that we should change the file from cdr to cmx. but then there are still faults in the data!!! we are really angry about that.
Soooooo... our question.... is here someone who has an idea to solve this problem?
for better understanding here is a pdf where the problem is shown. the upper pic is the CDR13 file in CDR17 and below is the CDR13 file in CDR13
hope someone could help
Hello Colonia; It looks to me like you need to change the settings for the PDF files. And make sure you have the latest .NET file for the Windows you are using. and as always make sure your drawing is inside of the page. If you want you can email me the CDR file I'll publish it to a PDF and send it back.

Hi Georg,
thanks for your answer! But the problem is not that the created pdf files are not correct. The problem comes up when we open files in Corel X7 which are former made in corel Draw x3. the pdf was just filed with screenshots. Furthermore we have the problem that we have hundreds of X3 files which have to be usable in the future with X7. this is our big problem. :(
The thing with .NET you said.... you're talking about NET Framework?

Do you have the X7.1 update at http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=800161&ppid=8100054&popular ?
If that has not solved the problem and you can put one of the actual CDR files somewhere, eg dropbox, some of the users here will check the problem and try to convince Corel to have a look at it.
Yes right. I already did that. current version-Nr. 17.1.0.572
Unfortunately it didn't changed the situation. yes sure. here is one of the files (created in CorelDraw X3)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/k3xuviwwx3pt7wz/Hubertus%20Apo%2C%20Entwurf%201.cdr
perspectives are wrong if you open them in CorelDraw X7
in the pdf file from my first post you can see how it looks like in CorelDraw X3 (how it is correct)
thanks in advance for your help!
Colonia Try the setting that is in the screen shot below.
