Hello,
I have been learning how to edit and create vectorial figures in CorelDraw in the last year, and it's probably the best way to do them I've ever come across.
I was wondering if this last thing I'd like to do is possible in CorelDraw X6.
I am editing a vectorial figure of a ternary plot (random example from internet here). What I would like to do is to resize/reshape the triangle in a non-proportional way (i.e., to make it non-equilateral) while all the points and shapes corresponding to the values of the points (on the example above, the circles, etc) remain unchanged. The final figure I would like to get is a triangle that is not equilateral, filled with circles that still look like circles and not ellipses because I would have reshaped the whole thing.
In other words, is there a way to lock the aspect of some elements of a grouped object, and to resize the grouped object without these elements' aspect to be reshaped)?
I hope I was clear, many thanks in advance for your help and your time.
HF.
You may be able to do this, if you can create the circles as a fill.
In that case, the fill is reapplied each time you resize the object -- so if the fill is made from circles, stretching the object will not stretch the pattern in the fill, it will just use a few more or a few less tiles.
I would try to use clones, i.e. create plot marks as shapes (control curves not used on plot) then clone them and put clones on positions in plot. Select plot and control curves, change aspect and then correct scale ratio (size) of control curves.
Best regards Mek
