When I open coreldraw with my sign on it works great but when my wife opens it under her sign on it freezes on opening. I get the windows DING and I have to C+alt+del to close the program.

Under your wife's sign-in, press and hold down the F8 key and start CorelDRAW. When the dialogue appears, asking if you want to reset to factory defaults, answer "Yes".
If that does not help you, then let us know and we can take it to the next step in recovery.

OK. this time we will try a recovery.
Under her login, put the DVD into the drive and when the installation menu appears, select Repair. This should repair/replace any corrupted files and re-establish links to the appropriate files.
When the repair is completed, do a reboot and login to her account, again, and then see if it runs correctly.
not sure if this is related or not when I put dvd in autorun open to cd welcome screen and no response after that
