I am working on a stained glass pattern and need help getting it aligned correctly. Is the a way to get the small box on the border centered between the 2 circle? and on the small boxes how do I get them to conform to the inner and outer lines. Thanks Michael

align to center vertical and horizontal. then rotate 45º

do it bigger and use the Smart fill tool (or combine both circles and use "intersect" )
How you go about drawing the image from the beginning is most important. Then knowing where the tools are to do these functions is a must. I hope this helps you how I would have tackled it, but other people have different ways too.
Also, make sure "Snap to objects" is turned on!

Thanks, I wanted to bring in a jpg of my glass to add colors where I want them. When I powerclip it in the curve nothing shows up. Can I not do that to a curve? Michael

I would draw 1“ circles and then align them to big circle (hor. center right, hor. center left, vert. center top, vert, center bottom)Then draw 2 auxiliary rectangles (horizontal and vertical) over to big circles, select both and rotate them about 45 deg. and use smart fill to create small boxes and then delete auxiliary rectangles.
Best regards
Mek
