For me, no other languages but spanish are listed in tools/options/global and english is not selectable in uninstall/modify.
How do I get english to be my language in corel?
I'm on Puerto Rico and that may be the issue, but PR is by law supposed to be bilingual, english/spanish.
I don't know spanish, please help me out.
Thanks,
Kel
Hello Kel; If you bought a Spanish ver. of Corel I would think that's all the menus are going to be in. But you could change the menus to icons only.
George
Thanks for the help.
Why are there not other languages in my options?
Why are others able to change languages?
I've seen a lot of thread and even a youtube video explaining how to change languages in corel.
Seems like that should be a given, changing languages, it is in adobe.
If your installation DVD is Multi language, you should do a installation repair. Under "Options" choose which languages you wish to install.. Once done, go to "Global / Options" and choose the desired language as default.
You can also choose to be asked which language you want to use. After choosing you need to restart CDGS for the change to take effect.
........
Or, you could download the trial version in English from a english site of Corel (USA or Canada) and use your serial number to enable it. However, you will have not the option to switch languages and the CDGS interface will be in English only.

Maybe those languages you're talking about are relative to dictionary, for spell check and similar features (such as hyphenation). If it's about the interface, the program allows to change language (on Tools/options/global) if you install more than one language. Usually, the program will have the language of your country or some similar, ie Spanish/Brazilian. If you have the Spanish/Brazilian version, you can install both languages, and choose the language you want, but that doesn't include english, german or french... you should have the install disc on this language. You can download the trial version from corel.com and choose the language (according the country) but if you buy the program on other language there's no way to change it (and maybe it's not legal on you country). Of course, there's also a multi-lingual version that include several languages at once
Sorry, I should have typed: "Why (aren't) there other languages in (my) options."
