I have made a stained glass pattern in CD and would like to send the file to my vinyl cutter to cut the templates piece for the glass. The lines on the pattern represent lead lines and the thickness of the heart of the lead is about .045mm. How can I get the vinyl cutter to offset on each side of the line to allow for that channel? Thanks MIchael
Without seeing your design, but assuming that your lead lines currently have the correct thickness, try the smart fill tool in the gaps. It will probably create the right shape for the cutter to follow. Though you might want to put the new shapes on a new layer, so that you can easily disable the existing lines afterwards.
Select all lines > choose line thickness = .045mm > "Convert outline to Object"
But are you sure you want 0.045mm! That's practically invisible to the eye.
Sorry just measured the lead itself and the measurement is .86mm. Thanks
